Learn About Your Custom Carport Options

Our most basic (and best-selling) metal buildings are our carports. Carports are an affordable and convenient option for our customers who are looking to provide coverage and protection for their vehicles without breaking the bank. For individuals who own property without an attached garage or covered parking area, carports are a great way to keep the elements off of your car or truck, and to provide some cover while getting in and out of your vehicle in inclement weather. Learn About Your Custom Carport Options

There are a number of options to choose from when selecting your carport. We can build carports with either 12-gauge or 14-gauge galvanized steel. Another option we offer is 29-gauge to 26-gauge galvanized aluminum sheeting. Regardless of whether you choose steel or aluminum, both options have a 20-year rust-free warranty.

Regular Carports

The regular roof is a barn-style gambrel roof that starts with a shallow slope and ends with a steeper slope at the edge of the roof. Our carports start at 12 feet wide and can be built as big as 60 feet wide with a clear span, and up to 20 feet high in leg heights.

As for length, we can install a carport as long as you need! Just let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll work with you to come up with a custom blueprint.

Boxed-Eave Carports

The boxed-eave roof option is very popular and is a step up from the standard regular carport. Boxed-eave carports feature a roof with a triangular slope, allowing for rain and debris to run right off. Roof panels on a boxed-eave carport run end-to-end. We can customize any style of carport with walls for a fully-enclosed structure. An enclosed carport makes a great storage space or workshop in addition to providing you with a protected place to park your vehicle. If you do choose to spend time in your fully-enclosed carport, you have the option to add insulation for maximum comfort.

Vertical Carports

The vertical carport is the premium option available from TD Buildings & Metal Structures. Unlike our regular and boxed-eave options, the roof panels on a vertical carport slope up to a point. This is similar to the traditional roof of a house. As a result, the vertical style roof requires the least amount of maintenance of the three styles. This is because debris, water, and snow run more easily off of the roof due to its vertical panels.

If you’re considering a vertical carport purchase, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly and helpful team of experts. We can help walk you through the purchasing process and ensure you end up with the right carport for your needs and budget.
